God Promises – Day 9

And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.

Ephesians 1:19

Jesus Is Sufficient

TRUST ME IN ALL YOUR THOUGHTS. i know that some thoughts are unconscious or semiconscious, and I do not hold you responsible for those. But you can direct conscious thoughts much more that you may realize. Practice thinking in certain ways – trusting Me, thanking Me – and those thoughts become more natural.

Reject negative or sinful thoughts as soon as you become aware of them. Don’t try to hide them from Me; confess them and leave them with Me. Go on your way lightheartedly. This method of controlling your thoughts will keep your mind in My Presence and your feet on the path of Peace.

I Am Your Father God

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6 NLT

I Am Your Father God

Listen to Me! Learn what it means to be a child of the everlasting King. Your richest duty is devotion to Me. This duty is such a joyous privilege that it feels like a luxury. You tend to feel guilty about pushing back the boundaries of your life to make space for time alone with Me.

The ways of the world have also warped your conscience, which punishes you for doing the very thing that pleases Me most: seeking My Face. Listen to Me above the clamor of voices trying to distract you. Ask My Spirit to control your mind, for He and I work in perfect harmony. Be still and attentive in My Presence. You are on holy ground.

God Promises – Day 8

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.

Ephesians 3:18 NLT

DRAW NEAR TO ME

with a thankful heart, aware that your cup is overflowing with blessing. Gratitude enables you to perceive Me more clearly and to rejoice in our Love – relationship. Nothing can separate you My loving Presence! That is the basis of your security. Whenever you start to feel anxious, remind yourself that your security rests in Me alone, and I am totally trustworthy.

You will never be in control of your life circumstances, but you can relax and trust in My control. Instead of striving for a predictable, safe lifestyle, seek to know Me in greater depth and breadth. I long to make your life a glorious adventure, but you must stop clinging to old ways. I am always doing something new within My beloved ones. Be on the lookout for all that I have prepared for you.

Worship In Spirit & In Truth

‘For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.’

John 4:24 NLT

Worship In Spirit & In Truth

WHEN YOU WORSHIP ME in spirit and truth, you join with choirs of angels who are continually before My throne. Though you cannot hear their voices, your praise and thanksgiving are distinctly audible in heaven.

Your petitions are also heard, but it is your gratitude that clears the way to My Heart.

With the way between us wide open, My blessings fall upon you in rich abundance. The greatest blessing is nearness to Me – abundant Joy and Peace in My Presence.

Practice praising and thanking Me continually throughout this day.

God Promises – Day 7

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
We love Him because He first loved us.

1 John 4:16, 19 NKJV

As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in his love.

These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

These things I command you, that you Love One Another.

John 15:9-13, 17 NKJV

How do we achieve (spiritual) renewal?

O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years.

Habakkuk 3:2 KJV

How do we achieve (spiritual) renewal?

First, there must be prayer – the kind that springs from a deep-seated heart-yearning for revival. We do not need pious platitudes and religious mouthing – but earnest, fervent prayer.

Second, we Christians must forsake our sins, both individually and corporately. We must forsake our pettiness, our peevishness (easily irritated, especially by unimportant things), our littleness, and our conflicts – as well as our evil ways.

Third, God must become real to us. Let the Bible’s truth soak deeply into your heart and mind every day.

God Promises Day 6

‘You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.’

Psalm 32:7 NIV

Deliverance

MY CHILDREN make a pastime of judging one another – and themselves. But I am the only capable Judge, and I have acquitted you through My own blood. Your acquittal came at the price of My unparalleled sacrifice. That is why I am highly offended when I hear My children judge one another or indulge in self-hatred.

If you live close to Me and absorb My Word, the Holy Spirit will guide and correct you as needed. There is no condemnation for those who belong to Me.

Bringing Peace Into Your Current Lifestyle

Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.

Psalms 119:165 NIV

Bringing Peace Into Your Current Lifestyle

Simply being able to define peace and acknowledge that it is ours by the new birth and the work of the Holy Spirit may not be enough? How do we really capitalize on it? How can it become a part of total living? What can a person do to make sure it grows? How can we cooperate with the Spirit at work in us?

By loving His law: The Psalmist, whose own personal life had experienced a few ups and downs of life penned these words centuries ago: “Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble” (Ps. 119:165). It’s so easy today to consider the Bible as being out of date and irrelevant to modern-day living. However, it is inspired wisdom of the ages as penned under the direction of the Spirit of God at work in a writer’s life. How foolish to ignore it! Here are the keys to life, to living in peace with God, your fellow persons, and yourself.

Dr. Smiley Blanton, director of the American Foundation of Religion and Psychiatry, was asked if he read the Bible. His answer: “I not only read it, I study it. It’s the greatest textbook on human behavior ever put together. If people would just absorb its message, a lot of us psychiatrists could close our offices and go fishing.

Among the things God’s Word does is that it sets basic principles for peace in the human heart: “underneath are the everlasting arms – love your neighbor as yourself – take no thoughts about tomorrow – you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free – don’t be afraid – great peace have the people who trust in their God” – and a whole lot more! The Bible is the handbook on peace – become familiar with it. As we read it, we become aware of a whole lot of people who were just like us with the same kinds of problems, but because of the peace they found they were able to overcome the obstacles of this life!

Practice Peace: To have the Peace of God ruling our minds and spirits we must put to practice some of the Principles of Peace. It’s not all 100 percent on the part of the Spirit. We have a role to play in developing this harvest of fruit. “Let (YOU let) the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to Peace. And be thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish (warn) one another with all wisdom” – Colossians 3:15-16.

Peace can come into our hearts by letting it rule in our minds and actions. This was the peace of mind, heart, and character which Jesus always exhibited in His life on this earth. This was especially evident during the trying hours of the ordeal of the trial and crucifixion.

He set the example! He is the pattern!

We are to let, grant permission, allow, condone, approve, authorize, and consent to allow the Peace of God to work in our living

God Promises – Day 5

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

Isaiah 26:3 NKJV

Jesus Is Peace

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation. – Ephesians 2:13,14 NKJV

Let me show you my way for you this day. I guide you continually, so you can relax and enjoy My Presence in the present. Living well is both a discipline and an art. Concentrate on staying close to Me, the divine Artist. Discipline your thoughts to trust Me as I work My ways in your life.

Pray about everything then, leave outcomes up to Me. Do not fear My will, for through it I accomplish what is best for you. Take a deep breath and dive into the depths of absolute trust in Me.

Underneath are the everlasting Arms!

God Promises – Day 4

For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

Romans 14:8 NKJV
